Join First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center for a night of fellowship and delicious food. During this incredible night out, you'll have the opportunity to hear not only about the impact this ministry is having on Central Wisconsin, but also the story of one woman whose family legacy has impacted the pro-life movement around the world.
Dinah Monahan
... has been in the Pro-Life movement for over fifty years. Her commitment sprang from her parent’s passion. Her mother, Virginia Evers, created the Precious Feet pin, the international Pro-Life symbol. Her parents created Heritage House ’76, she and her husband ran it for fifteen years and then passed it onto son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Dawn
Monahan. Most of Dinah’s years were spent housing, mentoring or counseling pregnant or troubled women. She founded Hope House Maternity Home and Living Hope Women’s Centers in the White Mountains of Arizona which includes three centers, one of which is the only center on an Indian reservation in the country. Dinah retired from Living Hope and she and her husband Mike went on to found a maternity home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia which she is still involved with. She also returned to the ministry she founded after 12 years absence and is now Executive Director of the same Pregnancy Centers with a new name – New Hope PRC.
In 2016 her beloved husband, Mike died unexpectedly. Out of the ashes she founded Psalm 51 Ministry and built Robin’s Nest Retreat Home. She holds retreats throughout the year for PRC staff and volunteers. Dinah is an expert on shame and the devastating impact on women. She is an author of Giving God Your Worst and Breaking the Shackles of Shame, international
speaker, teacher, lay counselor, mentor, mother of five and grandmother of twenty-seven.
