Mark Your Calendars!

Wow. What an incredible January we have had! I am thrilled to announce that January 2017 was the biggest month of Client visits since I've been employed in early 2015! I can even go as far as saying it's just short of the top ten months in highest number of visits in recorded First Choice history.

So, that's awesome! We are surely rejoicing over the doors the Lord has opened for us, and we're praying for the momentum to continue carrying through the year with exponential growth!

With that being said, it's critical we have a fundraising season that reaches full throttle as well to sustain the services provided! And, there's no better year than our Decade-Aversary to hit each event goal!

We have three major events this year:

The first event is the Walk for Life on Saturday, May 13, 2017. This 3k/6k walk/run event takes place at South Wood County Park around beautiful Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids. This is a FREE event to register for, but every participant is encouraged to donate a minimum of $25. Awards will be giving to the individual and team who raises the most amount of financial support! Support raising is super easy, and can be done one of two ways: electronically through social sharing, or via paper recording (like when you sell Girl Scout Cookies or school t-shirts). I'll be sharing "How-to" posts as we get closer to the Walk!

Make sure you mark your calendars for the Walk for Life, and bring your mom out for a fun Mother's Day weekend event!

The second event is the Golf Fore Life best ball scramble tournament. We're trying something new this year! Last year, Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa hosted the event. This year, the Wisconsin River Golf Course in Stevens Point will host the tournament on Friday, August 11, 2017. We the staff are super excited to spend the day with you soaking up some raise and having friendly fellowship. This is by far one of our most enjoyable days of the year!

So GET THAT DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR, and stay tuned for updates, event brochures, etc.

And lastly, we close our event fundraising season with the annual Banquet of Life. This event will take place at SentryWorld in Stevens Point on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Because it's our 10th Anniversary celebration, we are going all out! Black tie, formal event (optional, but totally encouraged!), incredible food, and the astounding musician, author, and speaker, Michelle Pillar.

If you can only make one event this season, the Banquet will be THE event. Date your calendars now because you will not want to miss this!
